Responsible for the formulation of ICT policies and direction, and automation of the Bureau’s manual system. In charge with the development of the Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) which serves as blue print for the Bureau’s medium and long term computerization plans and programs. Tasked with the management of computer resources, including its equitable distribution to operation units of the Bureau. Responsible for the administration, operation and maintenance of the Bureau’s website and computer network. Provide technical support to all operating units of the Bureau whose operational requirement call for the use of computers and other ICT equipment.

ADMINISTRATION DIVISION
Tasked with the administration and maintenance of the Bureau’s databases to ensure availability of needed information. Responsible for the database implementation in a network environment which includes uploading/downloading of data, data file creation, conversion and consolidation. Take charge of the regular database operations such as back-up and recovery, reorganization and restructuring. Conducts regular database performance monitoring and fine-tuning. Manages and controls the data activity of the Bureau’s information systems as well as the database structure. Coordinates with management, developers and end-users for the effective, efficient and continuous operation of the Bureau’s databases. Coordinates with Treasury Regional Offices and government agencies in the transfer of information requirements that would support the database operations of the Bureau.

Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of the Bureau’s computer application systems. Tasked with the identification, feasibility study and automation of existing manual systems throughout the Bureau. Coordinate with Central Office operating units, Regional and Provincial Offices regarding application system problems and new requirements. Coordinate with other government entities and Government Servicing Banks regarding data interchange formats and information requirements critical to the Bureau’s operations. Responsible for training end-users to ensure efficient use of all computer application systems.

Tasked with the planning and acquisition of required computer servers, server support, workstations and network equipments to support the Bureau’s operations. Tasked with the administration and maintenance of the Bureau’s computer servers, ensuring the smooth operation and high-availability of server resources to support the Bureau’s day-to-day operations. Protect the integrity and security of the Bureau’s computer network through the use of available security mechanisms and authentication systems. In charge with the design development, and maintenance of the Bureau’s website. Responsible for the administration, operation and maintenance of the Bureau’s Internet, web, and email facility. Responsible for the configuration and connection of workstations to the Bureau’s computer network, Internet and email facility. Administer the installation and relocation of network cabling. Responsible for the backup and recovery of computer server resources. Assign appropriate network access and privileges to end-users. Coordinate with other government/private entities regarding interconnectivity requirements essential to the Bureau’s operations. Oversee ICT equipment installations essential to the operation of the Bureau’s computer network. Coordinate with Treasury Regional and Provincial offices to facilitate report submissions to the Central Office. Receive and prepare MDS / NCS reports submitted by Regional / Provincial Offices for uploading into the Oracle Server. Assist in the transmission of official documents issued by the Central Office to all Regional and Provincial Offices. Install operation system and office tools, including anti-virus software and data definition files to servers. Apply operating system updates and patches to servers. Provide technical support/training to end-users

HARDWARE
MAINTENANCE DIVISION
Formulates policies, plans, programs and standards on PC usage by keeping latest ideas and techniques in IT maintenance. Keeping abreast with current hardware products of PCs in the market for acquisition. Develop cost effective methods on PC hardware acquisition and operations. In-charge with the distribution of newly acquired PCs to the Bureau’s operating units, including regional and provincial offices. Provides technical support and training in troubleshooting for regional and provincial personnel and keeping them abreast of current techniques in troubleshooting through phone, SMS or email instruction. Responsible for the effective utilization of PCs and its peripherals. Ensure efficient maintenance of PCs and its peripherals to ensure smooth operations. Ensure physical security and data integrity in uploading and downloading data files while PC is under preventive maintenance. In-charge with the inventory and monitoring of movement of PCs and its peripherals, including maintenance done and replacement of parts, if any. Recommend to PSMD regarding proper disposal of computer units beyond economic repair. Responsible for the installation of operating system and office tools to PCs, including software updates and patches. Responsible for the installation of anti-virus software and updates of data definition files to PCs ensuring virus free operations. Troubleshoots minor computer problems and provides other technical support to end-users.
