Treasurer of the Philippines Almanza previously served as Deputy Treasurer of the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) and was seconded to the World Bank Group from 2021 to 2023 as the Alternate Executive Director and Senior Advisor for the Constituency of Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Philippines, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago.

In her stint as Deputy Treasurer, she oversaw several services in the BTr, including the Accounting Service, Asset Management Service, Research Service, and Regional Offices, and spearheaded many initiatives on Public Financial Management, such as the implementation of the Treasury Single Account.

Prior to joining the BTr, she held various positions at the Department of Finance (DOF) as the International Financial Group’s (IFG’s) Division Chief for Debt and Risk Management and Multilateral Assistance.

She obtained her graduate degree in Asian Public Policy from the Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan and undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
